Do you think you may be addicted to Online Bingo or Gambling?
Most people know when they have a problem with and would recognize the tell tale signs many people may also find it hard to admit to themselves that they have a problem.
The hardest part with this is admitting to yourself that you so have a problem with gambling, just ask yourself a few simple questions, such as are you spending much more than what you can afford to spend? Do you sometimes not go to work, college or even to your child’s school play?
Have you stopped yourself from buying other items so you can use the money to gamble?
Do feel the need to prevent your family and friends from knowing how much you are spending on gambling?
Do you have any problems with sleeping pattern? Or have done so or felt the need to borrow money to finance your gambling?
Gambling can be a become a big drain on you and your finances and your family, you live in a world of fantasy telling yourself that one day you will hit the big one thus making up for the amounts you have already gambled/spent.
In reality you are only chasing after a dream and the problem only seems to escalate. An addict is somebody whose life will revolve around their addiction they eat sleep and dream of that big win which may never come. Health problems that can be associated with gambling include such illnesses as depression, stress, sleeping problems and even suicide. Gambling is an illness by its self and is recognized as such by health professionals. Nobody ever chooses to become a gambler and it will often just start with normal game play which can sometimes then spiral out of control. Gamblers no longer really enjoy playing the game any longer and are often not in control of their own actions as they have an overwhelming compulsive desire to gamble and cannot take control themselves to stop.
Compulsive gambling will lead you to real problems and troubling financial issues, rising debt problems, bankruptcy, even relationship breakdowns and in the worst cases scenarios even suicide. You are the only person who can decide if gambling has become a real problem for you and then being able to admit this to yourself is often the first step on the road to recovering.
There are many Gambling help sites out there what can offer you good support and assistance with your addiction as well as you being able to speak with your own doctor on your behalf about this illness.
These services are completely free and confidential this would be your first step to help support and recovery of your addiction.
